We are looking for a Mechatronics Architect to join our team and play a key role in designing and industrializing our product for the first human clinical trial. Reporting to the Director of Research, you will be responsible for the design, manufacturing, and integration of the mechanical and electronic components of the magnetic guidance platform.
YOUR ROLE AT ARTEDRONE...
System design and architecture:
Develop and define the overall architecture of mechatronic systems, ensuring the integration of mechanical and electronic components and firmware
Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including system specifications, diagrams and interface descriptions
Lead the conceptualization and prototyping of innovative mechatronic solutions
Project management:
Supervise and coordinate the work of multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure cohesive system integration.
Lead the development process from initial concept to final product, ensuring that milestones and deliverables are met on time.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and designers
Innovation and problem solving:
Identify and solve technical challenges in the design and implementation of mechatronic systems
Explore new technologies and methodologies to improve system performance and capabilities
Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects
Collaboration and communication:
Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, customers and other engineers, to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Present designs, concepts and project status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Foster a collaborative environnement that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
Quality and compliance:
Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations and quality assurance protocols
Implement and maintain rigorous testing and validation procedures to ensure system reliability and performance
Manufacturing and testing
Anticipate the ‘design for manufacturing’ of components from the start of the design cycles
Be actively involved in manufacturing and testing
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE ...
A Master’s degree or an engineering diploma in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field. A Ph.D. would be a plus.
At least 10 years of experience in mechatronics and/or mechanical design, ideally in the medical device industry.
Proven experience in managing complex projects, particularly in the design and supply of mechatronic components for at least two medical devices.
Strong expertise in advanced robotics techniques, automation systems, and system integration.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical design, electronics, control systems, and software integration.
Familiarity with IoT and intelligent system integration.
A solid understanding of medical device standards and regulations.
Proficiency in CAD and system modeling software.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
You are autonomous and proactive, with a structured and rigorous approach. You enjoy developing innovative solutions and working in a multidisciplinary environment with engineers, physicians, and industry or academic partners.
